On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Our Little Hero COP organization, we are sincerely appreciative of your contribution to the Buddy Walk. We thank you and are grateful for your efforts in helping to promote understanding and awareness of individuals with Down syndrome in our community. There were over 270 communities with local Walks across the country and around the world.
Your contribution, is instrumental in supporting the education, research and advocacy initiatives of the Our Little Hero COP and National Down Syndrome Society. Our focus for 2010 is on the following:

• Bring together key players in the Down syndrome research field and deliver critical milestones which will lead to increased public and private funding and improved research results.
• Advocate for improved policies, funding and protection of the rights of individuals with Down syndrome across the lifespan as determined by the National Government Affairs Committee.
• Serve as a national professional leader and advocate in education opportunities for people with Down syndrome, with emphasis On postsecondary education, early childhood inclusion, IDEA and No Child Left Behind.
• Provide informational leadership to families, affiliates, self-advocates, professionals and the public, with a focus on best practices and awareness.

Thank you for your energy, enthusiasm and determination in making the Buddy Walk a local and nationally recognized event. Our Little Hero is proud of the growth of the Buddy Walk program and is grateful to you for helping to make it a tremendous success!
