When we learned that Sam's injury was not survivable we new that something positive had to come out of the tragedy. While we were still praying for a miracle, we began the process of organ donation so that Sam could continue to have an impact on this world even in his death. Being able to donate Sam's organs gave us some hope during a time of horrible grief.  A piece of Sam is still living in five recipients.
